Considering the current headlines, can any of us tell what’s real and what’s not?
Angela Harrington lives a quiet life in Chicago as a law firm records clerk, but her reality is fractured by "daydreams,” vivid, terrifying visions of murders and clandestine operations. What she once dismissed as a hyperactive imagination is revealed to be a front-row seat to the work of a "ghost". Recruited, groomed, and set loose by a shadow branch of the government, the killer is a cybersecurity expert whose tradecraft is so flawless that his victims are written off as tragic accidents or suicides.
As Angela’s connection to this operative deepens, she discovers his personal mission is just one thread in a massive web of corruption. From the reach of Operation Mockingbird to the blackmail files of Epstein’s Island and the exploitation of global surveillance, the world as she knows it is merely a façade. She learns that the systems we use every day are designed to feed us dopamine like lab rats while watching our every move. Now, Angela must decide if her gift is a blessing that can stop a monster or a curse that will pull her into the flames of a global conspiracy.
EPSTEIN TEASER
Angela took a few moments to come around. She shook her head and regained focus on the things in the room. She looked at Dr. Tyler and said, “They’re allowing it to happen! They are allowing them to hurt those little girls for blackmail.”
“What are you talking about?” Dr. Tyler asked.
“I’m not sure, but when the killer logged into that site, he was looking at the names of celebrities and politicians from all over the world. He was clicking on their names, and it pulled up pictures of them fucking little girls and boys. I couldn’t look anymore,” she said with disgust as she closed her eyes tight and shook her head.
“Who is letting this happen?” Dr. Tyler asked.
“I couldn’t tell who it was. I know what the CIA logo looks like, and the screen he logged into wasn’t it,” Angela said. “It was similar, but it wasn’t the same, and it looked like maybe Arabic or Hebrew was in the notes of some of the files. It was disgusting. They are using whatever the program is to blackmail people. He was looking at a recruitment folder and what looked like a company flow-chart to see who those people were connected to.”
“Who did you see in the files?” Dr. Tyler asked.
“I recognized his face, but I don’t know his name. He’s royalty or something like that,” Angela replied.
“Can you draw the logo you saw on his computer?” Dr. Tyler asked.
“The one on his home screen, you mean?” Angela asked.
“Yes, that may help us figure out who this guy is,” Dr. Tyler said as she handed Angela her notebook and a pen.
